NY snow heralds winter's arrival - but may not stick around for Christmas
Briefly

The snow's pretty much over at this point, which means those hoping for a White Christmas will need a miracle for it to happen.
Last time New Yorkers saw a White Christmas was in 2009, which had 2 inches of snow glistening over the city.
Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing before the holiday, making it unlikely for this two inches of snow to stick around.
With 19% of LaGuardia flights delayed and about 23% at JFK, the snowfall caused significant disruptions for holiday travelers.
