New trial date for East Bay woman accused of 2021 Fairfield killing

Solano County Superior Court judge set a January jury trial for Kamaria Isis Davison Strange, charged with 2021 Fairfield murder. Pretrial dates also established, including readiness and management conferences.
Strange, a convicted felon, had pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and second-degree robbery for the killing of Michael Vincent Lopretta, 19. The incident involved a robbery stemming from a car-for-sale advertisement on OfferUp, where Lopretta was shot.
Strange was also arrested on additional charges of making a terrorist threat, battery, and brandishing a firearm. Bail was set at $150,000 for these charges.
The prosecution in the case is being led by Deputy District Attorney Bill Ainsworth, with representation from Alternate Public Defender Jennifer Proctor for the defendant.
