Psychiatrist Karen B. Rosenbaum, who evaluated Mr. Menendez, would testify that his fear of scarcity led to routinely withdrawing and storing cash, stemming from family trauma.
The prosecutors are seeking to bar Dr. Rosenbaum from testifying about Senator Menendez's psychological experiences associated with cash and finances, just before the trial starts.
