Police received a call from a witness shortly after 3:45 a.m. regarding a 71-year-old woman who reported she was raped near a hospital.
Witnesses described seeing Leon Alonzo Norman attack the victim outside the hospital, with one claiming she saw him "crouched over another individual" during the assault.
Leon, when arrested, claimed that the victim was begging him to have sex, a statement contradicted by witness accounts and evidence from security footage.
Law enforcement noted that Leon had prior related incidents and charged him with kidnapping, sexual battery, and battery on an elderly person.
