"The suspect abandoned the car and his unwilling passenger about two miles away in Maspeth a short time later, according to law enforcement. Police arrested 30-year-old Dominic Kanin about two weeks after the NYPD released MTA surveillance footage of a suspect. He is charged with grand larceny, kidnapping, unauthorized use of a vehicle and unlawful imprisonment, cops said. Kanin, who lives in the Cambria Heights neighborhood of Queens, has no prior criminal history, according to law enforcement."

Police arrested Kanin roughly two weeks after releasing MTA surveillance footage and charged him with grand larceny, kidnapping, unauthorized use of a vehicle and unlawful imprisonment. Kanin lives in Cambria Heights and has no prior criminal history.
