Los Angeles police shot Yong Yang in his parents' Koreatown apartment during a mental health crisis. Parents resisted calling police to prevent harm while Yang was acting erratically.
The mental health clinician, a member of PMRT, noted Yang's behavior made his parents sleep in their car. Police warned arresting him may not allow a 5150 hold for evaluation.
