"I try to hold myself to a very high standard, for myself, and this was not that," Timberlake stated after pleading guilty to impaired driving.
"I'd like to say to everyone listening, even if you've had one drink, don't get behind the wheel of a car. There's so many alternatives," he cautioned.
Timberlake's attorney noted that the evidence showed he finished one drink in two hours, and he was polite and respectful during the arrest.
The attorney emphasized that, unlike driving while intoxicated, impaired driving is a non-criminal charge, which changes the nature of the offense.
