The incident between Mr. Majors and Ms. Jabbari happened in a hired S.U.V. in Lower Manhattan, where she discovered a text message on his phone from another woman. She stated that when she tried to grab the phone, Mr. Majors attempted to wrest it away, resulting in a broken finger and his subsequent arrest.
