Charlotte Owen, now Baroness Owen of Alderley Edge after entering the House of Lords at the age of 30, has been appointed vice president of an environmental consultancy chaired by Boris Johnson.
Her elevation to the Upper House in Johnson's honours' list two years ago attracted scrutiny just six years after she started working in politics and following a brief stint as his aide.
The website for Better Earth states that it seeks to contribute to global decarbonisation but Lady Owen does not have a background in environmental work.
Johnson, now chair of the consultancy, mentioned his support for the climate initiatives, emphasizing the need for strategic thinking and investment in the sector.
