ISIL claims responsibility for deadly Kabul attack
Briefly

ISIS claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in Kabul aimed at the Taliban's prosecution service, killing at least six and claiming it's a revenge attack for Muslims imprisoned by the Taliban.
ISIL's affiliate in the Khorasan region continues to pose a threat, regularly targeting civilians and Taliban officials, even as overall violence in Afghanistan has decreased since the Taliban's takeover.
The recent suicide bombing in Kabul is one of several high-casualty attacks carried out by ISIL, which previously led to 53 deaths at an education center in a Shia neighborhood.
Despite assertions from the Taliban spokesperson that ISIL is suppressed, the group appears to maintain a significant operational capability within Afghanistan, evidenced by their persistent attacks.
