Britain has agreed to repatriate a woman and five children from camps in Syria, making it the second time since the end of the ground war against Islamic State that the UK has allowed an adult to return.
The UK has been criticized for lagging behind other western nations in repatriating families who lived under IS, with France and Germany repatriating significantly more women and children.
There are still around 20-25 women or families with British nationality held in Syrian camps, as well as others fighting to regain their citizenship in UK courts.
