"She is a brave girl. She is bleeding. She's moving. She wants to talk," said her mother, who described her daughter's condition after the shooting.
"We can't do nothing. My daughter is in the hospital, only seven years old. My heart is broken," the mother pleaded for action against youth violence.
"She tells her father, 'Daddy, daddy, daddy.' The father lifted her clothes. She has the shot here," described Fatoumata Keita, outlining the tragic moment after the shooting.
The motive behind the shooting remained unclear, but sources reported that the gunmen appeared to target someone, firing off nine shots prior to running off.
