In a tragic incident in East Harlem, 17-year-old Carlos Rivas lost his life from stab wounds inflicted during a dispute that escalated into violence.
Saul Sanchez, 62, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of Rivas, highlighting escalating youth violence in urban areas.
The confrontation erupted around 6 p.m. between two men and a teenager, resulting in Rivas being stabbed in the chest and abdomen, leading to his death.
After the violence, Sanchez, who also sustained a head injury, was arrested Saturday and faces multiple charges including weapon possession.
