Responding troopers found the white mastiff, along with a note and a bowl of food, said Gleason. 'This is Roxi, a trained American bull mastiff,' the handwritten note said.
"I will tell you right now. We probably had 25 people drive from the metro area to sign up just to start the review process," he said as Roxi wagged her tongue.
"The Southern State Parkway is arguably one of our most traveled and treacherous highways on Long Island," Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly said in a statement.
