Decomposing bodies of couple in their 60s found in NYC apartment, sparking macabre mystery

On Wednesday night, the decomposing bodies of a 60-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman were discovered in Upper Manhattan, raising questions about their mysterious deaths.

The investigation continues as police sources confirmed that the man was found face-down in the hallway, while the woman was sitting in a living room chair.

Responding to a 911 call, authorities found the bodies in a sixth-floor unit with no drug paraphernalia recovered, leaving the cause of death uncertain.

While the circumstances of the deaths remain unclear, police have stated that no criminality is suspected at this stage of their investigation.
