Corrections officer charged with allegedly assaulting inmate at Barnstable jail
Briefly

Gregory Djaoen, of New Bedford, faces two counts of assault and battery, one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of intimidation of a witness, after allegedly assaulting an inmate in May.
Sheriff Donna Buckley expressed concern over the charges, stating if true, they contradict the honorable service of the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office employees.
This incident is not the first time Djaoen faced trouble; last year, he was placed on leave for a road rage incident and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
