L.A. County sheriff's deputy arrested on suspicion of on-duty sexual assault of inmate
A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy has been arrested for engaging in sexual activity with an inmate at the women's jail in Lynwood.
The deputy's arrest came after an investigation into a sexual assault allegation at the Century Regional Detention Facility.
The deputy, Jonathan Tejada Paredes, was booked in at a sheriff's station and his bail was set at $100,000.
Derek Chauvin, police officer who killed George Floyd, stabbed, report says
Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, convicted of murdering George Floyd, has been seriously injured in a stabbing at a federal correctional institution in Arizona.
Chauvin was stabbed by another inmate, according to an unnamed source.
The stabbing incident occurred on Friday and the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson has not commented on the incident.
