Police are investigating a shooting in the Bronx early Thursday morning that left an 18-year-old man seriously wounded. The incident occurred around 12:18 a.m. on May 21 outside an apartment building at 1245 Webster Ave. in Morrisania. Officers from the 44th Precinct responding to a call found the victim shot in the abdomen. During the investigation, police learned a stray bullet struck an ambulance parked across the street at 1368 Webster Ave., hitting the rear window and exiting through the front. Two EMS members were inside the ambulance responding to an unrelated incident and were not injured. The victim was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital and listed in stable condition. No arrests were made, and tips are being sought.
