The NYPD reports that the man found dead alongside woman Priscilla Scarpati, identified as James Guidone, had no visible trauma, while Scarpati’s death was ruled a homicide due to her multiple stab wounds.
Guidone and Scarpati were identified as a couple by neighbors, who described them as 'seemingly normal.' An area resident noted they never observed conflicts between the two.
A neighbor, who lived in the area for over 12 years, recalled that Guidone and Scarpati contributed to the neighborhood's atmosphere by appearing stable, having recently moved into Guidone's family home.
Guidone had served as an MTA bus operator until resigning just weeks before the tragic incident, indicating there might have been underlying personal issues prior to the discovery of their bodies.
