Thirteen young Hasidic Jewish community members pleaded not guilty to charges related to damaging a wall in a prominent Brooklyn synagogue, with four defendants absent during the arraignment in Israel.
Despite being required to surrender their passports, the defendants were permitted to enter the synagogue by a judge's ruling after clashing with police while digging a secret tunnel under the religious building.
