York Regional Police are investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of one youth and injuries to six others, and they are appealing for witnesses.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, when a black two-door hatchback was found in a ditch, prompting a response from emergency services.
Two of the injured youths were transported to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition; unfortunately, one has since succumbed to their injuries.
Authorities are seeking any witnesses or dashcam footage from the area around Bayview Avenue and Bethesda Sideroad to assist in their investigation into the collision.
