What trading Matthew Judon to the Falcons means for the Patriots
Briefly

Judon quickly established himself as a disruptive presence for the Patriots after arriving on a four-year free agency contract in 2024, and he never looked back.
As such, he was a potential impact player on all three downs - something New England clearly lacked after he went down with a season-ending shoulder injury.
Given the quality of player and high-value draft selection involved, the move is a big one for the Patriots and Falcons alike.
Now, the team has to find a way to replace him (on top of potentially having to replace Christian Barmore as well after he was diagnosed with blood clots).
