Versatile Marte Mapu offers enticing potential for Patriots

Whether it was Julian Edelman or Matthew Slater helping out in the secondary, Jamie Collins lining up all over the front seven, or Rob Gronkowski being both the best blocking and the best receiving tight end in football, the more you could do the higher your value to the operation.
Entering the second year of his NFL career, Marte Mapu still has ways to go before reaching the same level as those players. That said, his skillset certainly is intriguing and makes him a player to watch entering the 2024 season.
Selected 76th overall by the Patriots in last year's draft, Mapu went on to appear in all 17 games. He registered one takeaway.
His final season was his best, and it allowed Mapu to enter the NFL Draft as a projected mid-round prospect.
