When the Patriots selected Christian Gonzalez with the 17th overall pick in the 2023 Draft, the thought was that he'd be a Day 1 starter... how well he played right out of the gate certainly was.
Gonzalez was named the Defensive Rookie of the Month for September, becoming just the fifth player in Patriots history to receive the award.
