It shouldn't have to end this way for Bill Belichick and Matthew Slater.
It's a very Jets thing to do to have your talented second-year running back - a player who missed the last half of his rookie season after tearing his ACL - carry the ball 37 times in slippery conditions in a game you'd be better off losing.
