The New England Patriots return to a snowy Foxboro to end their 2023-24 season against the New York Jets. While the Patriots will look to extend their 15-game win streak against their division rival on the field, most of the attention will be off the field as Bill Belichick and Matthew Slater may be taking the sideline as Patriots for a final time.
The Jets won the coin toss and deferred, putting Bailey Zappe up first in a snowy finale. After starting on the ground with Ezekiel Elliott, Zappe's second-down screen pass was nearly intercepted at the line of scrimmage. From the gun on third-and-eight, a pass downfield went off the fingertips of Elliott and fell incomplete leading to a punt. Trevor Siemian opened up by taking a shot downfield to Garrett Wilson, but the pass fell incomplete. After a second-down run by Breece Hall, Siemian was then brought down on third-down leading to a punt.
