Monty Rice, a linebacker from the 2021 Tennessee Titans draft class, has joined the New England Patriots' practice squad following recent roster changes in Foxborough.
Rice, a third-round pick in 2021, had a productive college career at Georgia and played 35 games in three years with the Tennessee Titans.
To accommodate Rice, the Patriots released rookie center Bryan Hudson, who had worked with the scout team and made a brief appearance with the team.
Earlier that day, New England waived Zachary Thomas from the 53-man roster while adding guard Tyrese Robinson from the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad.
