The New England Patriots have decided to release linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley, who has spent seven seasons with the team after being drafted from Purdue in 2018. During his time, Bentley became known for his contributions on the field, including over 500 tackles and being part of the Super Bowl LII championship team. Following an injury that sidelined him last season, Bentley expressed gratitude to the franchise on social media. With his release, the Patriots are looking to rebuild their linebacker squad, having also signed Robert Spillane and Jack Gibbens.
