Patriots reportedly retaining Ben McAdoo for 2025 season
Briefly

The New England Patriots have confirmed the return of senior offensive assistant Ben McAdoo for the 2025 season, as reported by ESPN's Mike Reiss. McAdoo, who played a role in developing quarterbacks Drake Maye and Joe Milton during his first season with the team, is one of the few staff members retained from the previous year, alongside special teams coaches Jeremy Springer and Tom Quinn. His exact title is unspecified, but McAdoo now joins a coaching staff that includes three other former head coaches, under the leadership of Mike Vrabel and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
McAdoo's return will mark just the third reported holdover from last year's coaching staff, joining special teams coaches Jeremy Springer and Tom Quinn.
His first year with the organization last season included a vague role on Jerod Mayo's staff and aiding in the development of Drake Maye and Joe Milton.
McAdoo will now be the fourth former head coach on Vrabel's staff, joining Doug Marrone, Josh McDaniels, and interim Thomas Brown.
