Another member of the Patriots' defense extended his enthusiasm about the hire on X. Defensive lineman Deatrich Wise, who was Hightower's teammate for four seasons, reacted with a "Let's Goooo!" following the news.
Though he was a defensive player and is now a defensive coach, it's clear Hightower's presence on past Patriots teams was felt even on the offensive side. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson expressed his joy despite being teammates with Hightower for one season on opposite sides of the ball.
