Patriots making strong push for first overall draft pick with latest loss
Briefly

Had the final two-point conversion on Sunday gone differently, their outlook would be different. However, thanks to a last-second 25-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13, the New England Patriots are now in serious competition for the first overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Entering Week 14, the race for the top draft spots remains a tight one. There are three two-win teams at the moment, as well as five in the three-win category also including the Patriots.
As a result of the Patriots being a prime candidate to finish the season without any more wins, they are given a 53 percent chance to finish either first or second.
The Patriots have a 25.9 percent chance at No. 1 after their latest loss, compared to the New York Giants' 34.5.
