Patriots beat out another team to claim Yannick Ngakoue
Briefly

The New England Patriots claimed former Pro Bowler Yannick Ngakoue off the waiver wire to strengthen their outside linebacker depth, surpassing competition from the Bengals.
With a .380 strength of schedule and a 2-7 record, the Patriots topped the waiver claim order and had the first choice for available players.
Yannick Ngakoue has played for seven different teams since being drafted in 2016 but has consistently produced, recording 71.5 sacks and 22 forced fumbles in 134 games.
Currently ranking 29th in sacks and 28th in pressure rate, the Patriots hope Ngakoue's role as a primary pass rusher will help improve their defensive stats.
