Offenses had their way for a long time, but defenses have struck back: Scoring topped out at a league-high average of 24.8 points per game in 2020, but steadily declined since and finished at 21.8 points per game on average this season, the lowest number since 2017.
The Patriots will draft a young QB in the first round and then give him a top target to help him get used to the NFL. With a ton of cap space for 2024, the Patriots will be able to afford an expensive contract and bring in Michael Pittman Jr.
