"I think obviously we would like more in our passing game," quarterback Jacoby Brissett said post game. "I've got to do a better job of getting a lot of those guys involved in the game plan and throughout the game. I take responsibility for that."
With pass protection issues plaguing the passing attack once again, New England has not been able to generate explosive pass plays down the field. Brissett credited Seattle's defense in limiting those shot plays on Sunday, but also hinted towards a troubling trend the Patriots are hurting themselves with.
"They had a good tell on us when we were trying to push the ball down the field," Brissett said post game. "And they did a good job. Had a good game plan as far as not letting us get behind them. We tried to, but we've got to find ways to get on top of that and continue to try to push the ball down the field and find different ways."
Correcting that tell will be key for offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt and Co. moving forward. While New England has continued to run the ball well, the offense has not had similar success building their play-action passing.
