It took just one mistake for Patriots veteran to be firmly in the hot seat
Briefly

The Patriots significantly upgraded their offense by acquiring Stefon Diggs and drafting LT Will Campbell, RB TreVeyon Henderson, and WR Kyle Williams. This bolstered support for quarterback Drake Maye in his second season. Rhamondre Stevenson was projected to lead the running backs but faces competition from Henderson, especially after setbacks during practice games. Stevenson struggled with a fumbling issue that has persisted throughout his career, raising concerns about his stability ahead of the 2025 season and his position on the roster.
Rhamondre Stevenson fumbles after picking up a nice gain on an outside zone run. Looked like UDFA corner Brandon Crossley forced the fumble.
Stevenson had a lot on his plate going into this offseason because of his failures during the 2024 season, many of which created irreparable damage to the offense.
Henderson has certainly given him a run for his money through training camp so far, and Stevenson's standing has only worsened after a nightmare showing during the team's practice game.
Cleaning up his game and getting a better hold on the football at all costs has become crucial for Stevenson as he heads into the 2025 roster evaluation.
