Drake Maye played absolutely fantastic on Sunday, not only throwing dimes, but also running and keeping plays alive. He threw with great anticipation all day, keeping the Patriots in the game. The team only punted once and was nearly unstoppable, except in the red zone, where they struggled to convert opportunities into touchdowns.
‘I think we were efficient in the passing game, and the guys made plays,’ Maye said after the game. His understanding of the offense has grown impressively. While he had the physical traits, his mental game is evolving, making him a promising QB for the future.
Despite a strong offensive showing, the Patriots' performance in the red zone was dismal. They got within the Colts' 20-yard line six times, yet managed only two touchdowns, relying instead on field goals and suffering a missed attempt and an interception.
