Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils addressed the team's disappointing goal-scoring performance, frustrated by their recent four-game losing streak and a record of 2-6-3 over the last 11 games. Despite being the team's leading scorer with 55 points, Hughes has only contributed nine points in this stretch. The Devils, currently third in the Metropolitan Division, have seen their scoring average drop significantly. Hughes believes the team can overcome this slump, citing their previous scoring capabilities and emphasizing the need for improvement in their offensive output.
It's frustrating but I think I've had some games where I've been able to have success, and then some where I've been closed off. That's just the way the League goes.
It's hard to win when you're only scoring one or two goals a game. If you look at our forwards, we've never had a problem scoring before in the past.
