Tristan Wirfs experienced worsening pain in his right knee this offseason that initially evaded diagnosis despite MRIs and training setbacks. The pain limited basic movements such as going up and down stairs and disrupted normal preparation for the season. Doctors eventually identified an issue and Wirfs underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in July, causing him to miss the start of the season. He reports being pain-free now and has a chance to play in Week 4 when Tampa Bay hosts the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Wirfs is a four-time Pro Bowler and was voted ninth best player in franchise history.
