Tyreek Hill dislocated his left knee early in the third quarter and was taken off the field on a cart, then transported to hospital for tests on ligament, cartilage, and bone damage. During on-field treatment he smiled, joked with teammates and urged them to secure the win, demonstrating leadership and keeping spirits high. Coach Mike McDaniel credited Hill's attitude with inspiring teammates and helping the Dolphins finish a 27-21 victory over the New York Jets. Hill spent the night in hospital, and agent Drew Rosenhaus said uncertainty remains pending further medical evaluation.
