Sources: Broncos to hire Saints' Rizzi to lead ST
Briefly

The Denver Broncos are set to name Darren Rizzi as their new special teams coordinator following a period of transition in the coaching staff. Rizzi comes from the New Orleans Saints, where he served for six seasons, including a brief stint as interim head coach. He has previously worked with Broncos head coach Sean Payton in New Orleans, creating a familiar dynamic. This move follows the firing of former special teams coordinator Ben Kotwica and the health-related retirement of Mike Westhoff, prompting a need for new leadership in the special teams unit.
In a deal that has waited on the Super Bowl and some of the contract machinations that come with a job change, the Denver Broncos are set to make Darren Rizzi their special teams coordinator.
Rizzi, who had formally interviewed for the Saints head coaching job in mid-January, and some of the other Saints' assistant coaches, according to multiple league sources, were in a holding pattern until Kellen Moore was named the team's head coach this week.
