He finished with a league-leading 782 yards on kickoff returns and ranked No. 2 in the league with a 28.8-yard average. After seeing just 289 snaps in 2022, Nixon, 26 (turns 27 on June 22), played 809 defensive snaps in 2023 as the nickel cornerback. He had a career-high 79 tackles this season, with an interception, 6 pass breakups and 3 tackles for loss.
