Oklahoma has made a significant move by hiring Jim Nagy, the former Senior Bowl executive director, as its new football general manager. With a wealth of experience from his previous roles, including two decades as an NFL scout, Nagy will focus on player evaluation, roster building, and recruitment alongside coach Brent Venables. His appointment marks a new phase in the Sooners' football program, drawing on OU's tradition of excellence and commitment to competing at a championship level. He succeeds Curtis Lofton, who previously held the position.
This is a new era in intercollegiate athletics at one of the greatest college football programs in the country. The legacy of excellence that precedes my arrival is a testament to the leadership at OU and the university's commitment to execute at a championship level.
Prior to the Senior Bowl, Nagy worked as an NFL scout for almost two decades for the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Washington Commanders.
