Raiders benching Minshew, name O'Connell QB1
Briefly

Coach Antonio Pierce announced that Aidan O'Connell will start as quarterback for the Raiders against the Steelers, taking over from Gardner Minshew.
Gardner Minshew had a rough start to the season, performing inconsistently with a completion rate of 70.7% but also throwing five interceptions.
O'Connell previously demonstrated success as a starter when he played for Pierce last season, finishing with eight touchdowns and no interceptions in the last four games.
The Raiders signed Minshew to a two-year contract with $15 million guaranteed, but his inability to maintain form led to O'Connell's promotion.
