Ex-Vikings GM Spielman joining Jets' front office
Briefly

Rick Spielman, previously the Minnesota Vikings GM, has joined the New York Jets as their senior football adviser. He will support new head coach Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mougey, who lacks prior GM experience. Spielman’s focus will be on revitalizing the Jets' football operations. He replaces Phil Savage, who transitions to a consulting role, after assisting the Jets in their recent search for both a GM and coach. Spielman brings extensive experience, having previously worked with new Broncos GM George Paton and overseeing candidate vetting for the Jets.
"Right now, my biggest project is trying to rebuild the football operation side of things. There's a lot of changes going on up there."
"Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey are the final decisionmakers. I'm just there as their sounding board."
