49ers' Pearsall, Green ruled out Monday vs. Colts
""Ricky will stay back," coach Kyle Shanahan said. "He was close but not close enough.""
""His neck has been bothering him since the [Titans] game and it just didn't get any better," Shanahan said. "So, we have to shut him down for this week.""
The San Francisco 49ers ruled out receiver Ricky Pearsall and cornerback Renardo Green for Monday night's game at Indianapolis. Pearsall did not practice all three days and will remain in the Bay Area for continued rehabilitation of a right knee issue. Green was a limited participant during practices, wore a no-contact jersey Friday and shed it on Saturday before being shut down due to a persistent neck problem. Both injuries stem from last week's game against the Tennessee Titans. Pearsall left after a hip-drop tackle and later experienced irritation of a posterior cruciate ligament; the tackler was fined $23,186.
