Karl-Anthony Towns has been cleared for full-contact, 5-on-5 basketball activities and is progressing toward his return to play after undergoing surgery for a meniscus tear in his left knee four weeks ago.
Before his injury, Towns was having a standout season with averages of 22.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 50.6% shooting from the field, and 42.3% from 3-point range. The Timberwolves have maintained a solid 11-5 record since his absence.
