Elfrid Payton, 30, returns to the Pelicans on a training camp deal, after last playing in the NBA during the 2021-22 season with the Phoenix Suns.
Previously, Payton had his best season with New Orleans in 2018-19, averaging 10.6 points, 7.6 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game and recording several triple-doubles.
