Alex Condon entered the 2025 NBA draft process but ultimately returned to Florida. Condon's meeting with former Arkansas star Boogie Fland at a Brooklyn Nets workout helped influence Fland's commitment to Florida. Additional connections, including an Ivy League prospect link and a watch party at Golden's house, further solidified the roster. The returning core and new additions led to Florida becoming only the second reigning champion in the past decade to earn a top-three preseason AP ranking.
