New York is committing $30 million to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption through a revamped Drive Clean Rebate Program that offers up to $2,000 rebates at dealerships. The Charge Ready NY 2.0 program will increase incentives for Level 2 chargers, enhancing support for multifamily buildings while focusing on disadvantaged communities. Over 190,000 rebates have been given since 2017. Achieving climate goals will require 2-3 million EVs by 2030. Additionally, NYPA's EVolve NY network expands charging stations to support this transition, with significant growth planned through April 2024.
