Chronicle Studios, founded by Chris deFaria and Aaron Sisto, has secured $11.6 million in funding to leverage AI for enhancing audience reach and franchise creation in Hollywood. The focus is on aiding animators by providing them with funding, business plans, and proprietary AI tools that facilitate content distribution and audience engagement. DeFaria emphasizes that while AI can aid marketing, it cannot replace the essence of storytelling, addressing a critical gap in how creators connect with audiences. The initial focus will be on utilizing these advancements to revitalize audience outreach and franchise development in the animation sector.

We saw marketing and distribution as the best way to help creators take their shows to the next level and ultimately develop the next generation of franchises.
Chronicle is focusing on animators, providing funding, a business plan, and a suite of AI tools to help them distribute their shows and build a loyal fan base.
As AI gained traction, we sensed an opening to use the tech to help boost audience growth, believing that conventional marketing methods were losing effectiveness.
